Genesis Clinical Services welcomes a new therapist to our practice as of December 2021

Jeselle Santiago, MSW, LCSW

Jeselle Santiago, MSW, LCSW received her Masters in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, where she specialized in Mental Health, sub-specialized in Migration Studies, and earned her Certificate in Non-Profit Management and Philanthropy.

Jeselle's experience ranges from empowering women experiencing homelessness with milieu based therapy and case management, engaging mental health services for clients who were enrolled in the employee assistance program in Chinatown, and advocating for hospitalized patients to still feel directly involved in their care despite the restrictive nature of inpatient settings.

Jeselle has worked as a Clinical Therapist/Social Worker at the most acute level of care at inpatient settings of Linden Oaks Hospital and Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, where she has provided individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and case management. Jeselle is passionate about helping individuals and their families suffering from mood disorders and trauma learn how to overcome their emotions rather than be overwhelmed by their gifts of sensitivity. Jeselle focuses on developing the individual's insight to see the strengths already within themselves and collaborate with their support system to further refine their areas of growth.

Jeselle uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and expressive therapy techniques in her approach. Jeselle genuinely seeks to understand those who feel they have been misunderstood and guide them into integrating a sense of meaning and wholeness to their life experience.
